Ann Marie Kupinski, PhD, RVT, FSVU

Ann Marie Kupinski is the president and technical director of North Country Vascular Diagnostics located in Capital District Region of New York.  She is also a Clinical Professor of Radiology at Albany Medical College in Albany, New York.  Ann Marie is a member of the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography, a senior member of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, and a fellow of the Society for Vascular Ultrasound.  She has served on the Society for Vascular Ultrasound’s board of directors.  She is a current member of board of directors for the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission Vascular Testing.  She has published multiple journal articles and book chapters on vascular diagnostic techniques and has lectured extensively.   She is also the author of the textbook Diagnostic Medical Sonography: The Vascular System, published by Wolters Kluwer. She has been a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) since 1986 and became registered in abdominal scanning (RDMS-abdomen) in 2008. She received her Ph.D. in Physiology in 1996 from Albany Medical College.

Dr. Meier is a vascular surgeon in Cincinnati, Ohio. He serves as Professor of Surgery at University of Cincinnati College of Medicine; Director, Division of Vascular Surgery; Director of Vascular Services at UC Medical Center

 

 

Eugene Zierler, MD, RPVI

R. Eugene Zierler, M.D., R.P.V.I., is medical director of the D. E. Strandness, Jr. Vascular Laboratory at UW Medical Center and the Vascular Laboratory at Harborview Medical Center, both in Seattle.

Dr. Zierler earned his M.D. from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, Maryland. He completed his residency in general surgery at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada, and a vascular surgery fellowship at the University of Washington, Seattle. His clinical and research interests have focused on the development and clinical applications of noninvasive diagnostic techniques for vascular disease, such as ultrasonic duplex scanning.

Dr. Zierler joined the UW School of Medicine faculty in 1984. He is a professor in the Department of Surgery and Division of Vascular Surgery. He teaches on all aspects of the diagnostic vascular laboratory, including vascular physiology, ultrasound physics, clinical applications, and interpretation.
